- JOINING the DAA provides an immediate return on your membership investment. Your membership will help you improve your company’s bottom line (NOI) by focusing your organization’s best practices to increase income and decrease expenses, while also protecting your organization from costly liabilities.
- Increase Income: as an owner member, you are able to list your apartment community(s) on the Renter Resource Center (RRC) of the DAA web site. The RRC has over 5,000 renter hits every month. Renters will be able to click your apartment community and be connected directly to your company’s web site. DAA members routinely rent apartments via leads from the RRC. In addition, industry experts share insights regarding the best industry practices that will help you reduce vacancy, reduce bad debt, improve resident retention and improve resident referrals. You will be able to communicate with other industry professionals and learn, in real time, what programs are working to meaningfully increase collected income.
- Decrease Expenses: as an owner member, you will receive exclusive member discounts from some of the most respected vendors in the multi-family industry. You will be able to leverage your membership in the DAA to obtain better pricing from vendors on goods and services. You will have the most current information on programs and practices that will help your organization to operate more efficiently and reduce your expenses.
- Protect Your Company from Liability: as an owner member, you are supported by the DAA general counsel and the DAA political lobbyist. You will be aware of the variety of legal and legislative landmines that continually confront the multi-family industry. - DAA Owner Member Mentor Program will help make you immediately comfortable. As a new member, you will be assigned an Owner Member Mentor. An owner member that is already a DAA member will acclimate you to the association, introduce you to various members of the association, and assist you with valuable tips on how take advantage of the wonderful services and resources that your membership provides.

You will be able to participate in programs such as “The BEST OF DELAWARE” and renter relocation tours to further strengthen your marketing efforts. Vendor Benefits
Vendor / Associate Member DAA value proposition:
- JOINING the DAA provides an immediate return on your membership investment. Your membership will help you improve your sales and improve your company’s bottom line by providing you with efficient and direct access to the decision makers and purchasers in the multi-family industry.
- Directory of Owner/Management Company Members: the DAA has close to 30,000 apartment units in the association. As a vendor member, you will be supplied with a directory of all apartment communities, all Management Companies, and direct contact information for the decision makers and purchasers.
- Participation in DAA Events: as a vendor member of the DAA you will receive a full calendar of DAA events. These events range from committee meetings, to general meetings, to special events. Your company will have the opportunity to attend as many of these events as you desire. You will be in direct contact with industry decision makers and purchasers. You will be able to build relationships and trust that will give your company a significant competitive advantage when selling in the multi-family industry.

Throughout the year, vendors have the opportunity to sponsor events through cash donations or through the donations of their time and service.
